The Center Significantly Expands Its Collection of Modern and Contemporary British Photographs with a Major Gift
Through a significant gift of 125 photographs from the London-based collectors Claire and James Hyman, the Center expands its collection to include the work of notable modern and contemporary British photographers.
Kabinett to feature 30 specially curated presentations
A fresh-to-the-market painting by Le Corbusier, Baigneuse, Barque et Coquillage, (painted between 1934-47), will be offered at Bonhams Impressionist & Modern Art sale on 1 March 2018 in London. Purchased directly from the artist's estate, this is the first time that the work will appear at auction, having featured in several international exhibitions as one of the keystone works by Le Corbusier. The painting is estimated of £1.4-1.8 million.

This year, 45 artists and collectives across nine creative disciplines will receive unrestricted $50,000 cash awards. The Fellowships honor their creative accomplishments and support their ongoing artistic and professional development, however the recipients choose to spend them.
