July 22-26, 2020 with a Silent Auction Each Day from 11am – 7pm Eastern
One Thing honors local and regional cultural and non-profit partners with special dedicated programming and a daily silent auction to raise money for them. Partners include The Art Base, Aspen Film, Carbondale Arts, The Center for African American Health, and Valley Settlement.
On Wednesday, July 22, One Thing to Celebrate focuses on Valley Settlement, an organization dedicated to supporting immigrant families, with a special focus on educational opportunities. Valley Settlement’s programming will celebrate the adults and children who graduate from their programs each year, and celebrate their achievement with festive and fun graduation ceremonies. There will be videos on IntersectAspen.com. The silent auction work is a Deborah Kass silkscreen titled Being Alive (2012) from the series Feel Good Paintings For Feel Bad Times, provided by Richard Levy Gallery.
On Thursday, July 23, One Thing to be Thankful For focuses on Aspen Film, which seeks to enlighten, enrich, educate, and entertain through film. Aspen Film will screen a short film on IntersectAspen.com titled A YOUTH, which follows a group of young Afghan refugees in Athens chasing dreams and family
re-unification. The silent auction work is by artist Jonathan Monaghan, a dye-sublimation on aluminum titled Sentinel I (2020), provided by bitforms gallery.
On Friday, July 24, One Thing to Fight For focuses on the Center for African American Health (CAA Health) which takes a holistic approach to healthcare, providing services that go beyond accessibility, providing culturally sensitive health education, health promotion services, and helping to remove barriers. CAA Health will share a video on IntersectAspen.com about their work and the history of the organization. The silent auction work is from Paula Crown Atelier, which is donating a Crown sculpture, Jokester I (2017), to fight for environmental sustainability.
On Saturday, July 25, One Thing to Love focuses on Carbondale Arts, which builds community through art, with core values of creativity, collaboration, curiosity, education, and inclusion. Carbondale Arts presents the 49th Annual Carbondale Mountain Fair, July 24-26, 2020, and will host a virtual concert on Saturday night. The silent auction work is an analogue chromogenic photograph on fuji luster by artist

On Sunday, July 26, One Thing to Look Forward To focuses on The Art Base, which fosters creative expression in the visual arts for all ages and abilities, through educational opportunities, exhibitions, and events. The Art Base is looking forward to its annual 10x10 Name Unseen Silent Auction taking place July 31-August 16, 2020; and its new facility. The silent auction work is a painting by artist Don Eddy titled I Am Light and Shadow (2017), provided by Nancy Hoffman Gallery.
